Any number of people can play. Shuffle and deal all the cards face down. Each player holds their cards face up, in the palm of their hand. Players can only look at their top card.
The player to the dealer's left starts by reading out an item from the top card (eg, Fighting Skills 87). The other players then read out the same item. The one with the best or highest value wins and places all the top cards including their own to the bottom of their pile. It is then their turn again to choose an item from the next card.
If 2 or more cards share thetop value or no data is available for that particular subject then all the cards are placed in the middle and the same player chooses again from the next card. The winnerof the hand takes the cards in the middle as well.
The person with all the cards at the end is the winner!
Some packs produced by Winning Moves UK Ltd, the brand leader in the UK,can be played together, like Marvel Comic Heroes 1, 2 and 3 or Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel giving you a hugh game!
In the World of Top Trumps their is 5main types of packs produced which usually contain 30 playing cards:
Juniors -kid's favourites - i.e. Power Rangers andPostman Pat.
Classics - i.e. Predators, Sharks, Dinosaurs and World Football Stars.
Specials - packs suggested by you - i.e Doctor Who, The Simpsons, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Star Wars and Football Teams.
Limited Edition - for big kids - i.e Football Legends, 24 (TV Show)and Little Britain (TV Show).
Promo Packs - not available to buy in shops and usually produced for a specific brand or company - i.e Cool Brand Leaders, Helicopters and Mixxit.
Thereare also a 'Super Top Trump' card(s) available for some packs like 'The Avengers' for Marvel Comic Heroes 3, 'The Cannibals' for The Pirates of the Carribean - Dead Man Chest. These cardscan be found distributed withConsole Games, Film Releases in Cinemas, DVDs and Comics. Some packs have more than 1 'Super Top Trump' like The Da Vinci Code and Star Wars. Some of the older 'Super Top Trump' cards were only available to members of the Winning Moves Top Trump Club and their rarity and availability can differ.
