Why buy "printer" memory?

Lets face it, most people buy a printer, stick it on the desk, and never really give it much thought.

You often hear about people upgrading their pc, adding more memory to get better performance, but did you know, some printers can be dramatically improved by adding more memory?

The HP Laserjet range, including such great workhorses as the lj 4 , 5, and similar models all take similar memory, they come with memory built in, but they dont give you much as standard.

The standard memory on say a laserjet 4 will not allow you to print a black and white photo full a4 size, as it will complain about being out of memory. Complex prints often suffer the same fate... The lenght of time you need to wait for a page to come out can be lengthy with the normal standard memory installed.

Adding a additional memory simm, and the pages fly out faster, your print queue clears up quicker, and you can print full page photo's, drawings - anything really! The difference has to be seen to be believed.

Originally a memory upgrade would have cost hundreds, but now you can pick them up for a much more reasonable price, see my auctions as I have quite a few available (also check the feedback for satisfied customers!)

They are quite easy to fit, if you can fit a sim in a pc, you will have no trouble fitting one in a printer - a word of warning though, dont waste your time trying old memory out of you old computers in your printer (you can if you want to) as 99 times out of a hundred it wont work. HP printer memory is configured differently to most simms that were used in PC's, and will either be completely ignored by the printer, or fail the self test.

Paypal

a buyer bought goods from me and they were sent normal mail rather than any type of recorded mail a few days after posting the buyer contacted me and asked for the tracking number for the item i explained that i didnt have one and he then proceeded to tell paypal he didnt receive the goods now if this is the case where are the goods. paypal have just finished investigating the case and ruled in his favour ordering me to refund 25 but if i have no proof of postage theni have no proof that he received them so he could be in receipt of the goods and a full refund

how on earth can paypal make this ruling when its his word against mine and i have feedback in the 400s proving that i dont rip people off.

HOW IS THIS FAIR

i am looking for alternative online payments as i have been put on limited service until i pay paypal the 25 (i dont think so)

Damien Hirst

Buying Damien Hirst artwork on eBay.If you're a collector of Damien Hirst artwork or his signed books, then eBay is arguably the best place to get it, simply because of the variety and amount of Hirst stuff that is available. This guide will hopefully explain a few simple things, most of it common sense, to help you spot fakes or anything strange with the item. Unlike a gallery, with eBay you do not (usually) have the chance to physically see the piece first. You cannot pick it up, inspect it, scrutinise it for defects or ask questions regarding it's authenticity face-to-face with somebody. Unfortunately, there is fake stuff around - and it's getting much, much worse.
Contacting the seller before bidding. This is your only chance to get more information if you need it. Read the auction listing carefully, and if you are not completely happy with anything the seller says or if the seller has missed something from the listing (i.e. provenance!) then contact the seller. Most of the time you can get a 'feel' for the seller from how they respond to your questions. If they respond openly with lots of or more detailed information than you asked for, then this is usually a sign of a genuine seller without anything to hide.Personally, I would be wary of 'Yes/No' or 'Dont know' answers to questions and sellers who do not respond at all are a definite 'Do not bid' for me! Of course, take a look at the feedback of the seller as well in the
normal way, not only the total % feedback score, but both the
feedback left by previous buyers and the feedback left by the seller (sometimes this gives you more of an insight). I am also a wary of 'private auctions', where the bidders' IDs are kept private. Although I understand the seller's concerns regarding bidders' IDs when listing high value items, you cannot check for shill bidding.
Possible things to ask the seller:Provenance. This is a difficult area, but it is probably the most important information you can get from the seller. Ask the seller about how they obtained the item, where they got it from and who they got it from. Does their answer seem logical and feasible? Answers such as "Damien signed this beer mat for me when I met him in the pub last week" is simply not good enough! If the seller can provide any evidence at all in the form of signed letters, the original receipt, or even a photo of Hirst signing the item in question, all the better - although this seldom happens, if the seller can provide this they will usually be all to eager to tell you. Try to independently checkout the seller - for example if the seller tells you that they obtained the Hirst piece via their art gallery or via their place of work, then do a google search on them (most of the time you can get their name from their e-mail address or directly from the e-mail they sent to you) and see if you can find out if they actually work there etc. to try to corroborate their information.Hirst vary rarely signs anything for anybody anymore other than authentic, certified Hirst pieces, a signed book edition, a signing session in a gallery or if they're a friend of his. Provenance is a very difficult area, but a lot can be deduced from what the seller writes in their responses to you. Use your gut instinct and common sense. Obviously the provenance matters much more on a 4000 Euro Hirst gallery edition than a 40 Euro signed book edition. Keep all correspondence and print out seller e-mails, any extra photos and the eBay listing if you win. These will all help you to get a better price if you decide to sell the item later.Photographs.Some sellers provide lots of nice, big, detailed pictures on the auction listing. Most don't. Ask for more if you think it necessary or have any doubts about something at all. Ask for high-quality, close-up photos, especially of the signature or any marks/creases/problems with the item. Good sellers will not have a problem with this, and usually you can get some sort of rapport going with the seller with all the e-mail correspondence. Again, if there is no response, be very wary!Shipping, shipping costs

no postage cost

Be careful of winning onvery low prices.I say never bid on item that don't display any type of postage. I learn't my lesson, asthe item I won must have been less than half the shop price. thinking I got a bagin. untill I click on pay now. I was shocked to say the least. with the postage now added. I must have been three times more than the local shop would have sold it for. Make sure you see some indication to what the postage might cost. Now, I always email and ask

Choosing A Belly dance Hipscarf

When buying a hipscarf you want it to look right! First and foremost the look of it will be what attracts you. Its nice to have a variety of colours as it adds more fun to your dancing!

There are many different types avaialble to suit your requirements.

Chiffon scarves, although very pretty, often catch on things, personally i tend to stay away from chiffon scarves for this reason. I want a hipscarf to last.

I would reccomend a velvet one, they are much more durable.

If the scarf has coins it will make a noise as you dance. This is useful for learning to keep in time to the music as the scarf will acentuaate each of your moves.

There are also scarves with circle sequins, these are really pretty and are ideal for when you dont want to make noise. These are good for workshops or classes with a lot of students and you cant hear the teacher for the jingling!

The weight of a scarf is also important. A professional quality scarf is more costly but it reminds you of the importance of posture! You do pay for the quaity of scarves, so although bargains seem great they might not be as high standards.

The scarf should be tied at your hips not your waist. This helps you see (providing you have a mirror!!) the dance moves very clearly.

Fake or replica football boots

Football boots are essential to all those who love a good kick about with a group or friends, or want to try and reach the top in the football world. When purchasing a pair of boots, you need to know that your money is going to be well spent. Recently, I bought a pair of football boots that were pictured as the adidas blue predators worth 119.00 . When they arrived, I knew they were fake. They were plastic NOT LEATHER. Always ask these questions:

How much is the retail price?

What material are they?

Will I get a refund should they be faulty?

Always be on the lookout, and compare the boots you receive to the item that was pictured!! Can you tell the difference between these two?

Paypal offers a rubbish service

Don't use paypal to collect money from buyers, they are running an effective monopoly, and when you do run into problems, try contacting them and try to speak to a real person, not a chance. I will never accept paypal again.
